Chasing Shadows
Schools of Magic
And how to see them
Abjuration- Blue
Conjuration- Green
Divination- Yellow
Enchantment- Orange
Evocation- Red
Illusion- Purple
Necromancy- Gray
Transmutation- Clear/Iridescent
When detecting magic, if an object or living thing has magical properties, then it will radiate a clear, but visible ping of magic. The more powerful that magic is in relation to your current caster level will then reflect how bright this magical ping is. On the second round of detecting, a color will appear, as per the chart to your left. All schools of magic have sub schools within them. Many of the magics will then, by the third round, take on a very particular shade.
Alignment
And how to read them
Good- Blue
Evil- Red
Chaotic- Purple
Lawful- Yellow
True Nuteral- White
When detecting an alignment, one might be surprised that almost all things have a small bit of every detectable alignment within them. Depending on the amount of one over the other will vary. The closer one is to a purity of one alignment the deeper and richer that color becomes. The further away from that alignment, the paler that color becomes. Very rarely will one ever find something so devoid of an alignment that they are all together white.
Hero Tokens
And how to use them
+4 to a save
+4 to hit
+8 to confirm a critical
+4 to a skill check
There are moment in the game in which a player or character impresses the DM. This may or may not award a character a Hero Token that lets them use one of the chooses off to your left. No one character can have more than three hero tokens at a time, so be sure to use them.
